Annual Free Document Shredding and Food Drive

That’s right, there is no cost to bring your documents to Merrill Law, where office employees will be onsite to help you carry boxes.

Documents will be destroyed by Proshred, a professional document destruction service with a mobile shredding unit. Last year ProShred happily shred several tons of documents at our event.

A very special thank you to the guys from ProShred for always jumping in to help make our events run smoothly.

Donate Non-Perishable Food Items…

Donations of non-perishable goods accepted to support our local food banks. Each year we have been blessed by your generosity to deliver car loads of food and cash donations to the Snohomish County Food Bank to help those in need.

Plan To Attend Our FREE Shred and Food Drive Event

January 12th 2026.
1:30 PM to 3:00 PM
To allow our Shred Truck to set up safely, please do not arrive before 1:30 pm.
We will accept documents to shred, until the truck is filled.

To respect our neighbors and allow them the best access to their homes and business during our event we ask the following.

Entry to the Alley is One Way Only for the Shred event from 37th Ave.
Entry to the the Alley is best from the Westbound (uphill) lane of 37th Ave.
Please follow the parking attendants directions for stopping and unloading.

Prepare your Documents for Shredding

Recyclers across the country have become exceptionally strict about not accepting “contaminated paper.” Please make sure to sort your material carefully before the event.

What can be shred at our event:

Office paper, computer paper, note pads, and envelopes. Staples, paper clips and small binder clips do not need to be removed. Any metal larger than a small binder clip must be removed

These items will not be accepted for shredding at our event :

Binders, hanging file folders, plastic sleeves, metal bindings, plastic bindings, CDs, DVDs, data tapes, microfilm and x-rays, wet paper.

We will do our best to facilitate the unload of documents for shredding as quickly as possible.

2025 Shred Event

Thank you to everyone who made the 2025 Shred Event and Food Drive a success. We were able to fill the truck completely this year. We also delivered 925 pounds of food and collected $300 donations for the Lake Stevens Community Food Bank.

We are happy to say that we filled 2 cars with 925 pounds of food donations. We also collected $300 dollars that were donated to the food bank.

  My son got his first speeding ticket. We called these guys and sent them a photo of the ticket. They took care of everything and got the ticket dismissed. Lucky kid. Hope he learned his lesson...

  I have gone through Merrill Law 3 times now for speeding violations and expired tabs and they are efficient and super easy to work with every time. Reece is fantastic and communicative. I highly recommend them as they have saved me a lot of money in the end.

  Great Result.  Dismissed speeding Ticket!! I got a speeding ticket that I presented to Mr Merril.  Very easy to process. Excellent communication.    He called me during the process to l ask my opinion.   He felt there may be a chance that my ticket would not be dismissed and wanted to know if I would be willing to pay a fine, to keep the ticket off of my record.  I agreed and was thankful to be included in the process.  Mr. Merrill went to court, fought for me and WON!  my ticket was dismissed!! Great result.
